sip speedo sensor

You shouldn't need a magnet (depending on what you are trying to pickup from).
My active sensor works fine from the rear hub studs with no magnet.

sureley it wud pick up 4 times per revolution of the wheel???

Yes, and there is a setting on the SIP speedo to accommodate this (think it will work for up to 16 pulses per revolution). Theoretically the more pulses per revolution the higher the accuracy.

Cheers... I've got mine aligned with the disc bolt heads - but struggling to get a reading atm... was thinking that swapping the disc bolts for the ones with magnetic heads might work?

What's the distance between the sensor and the bolt heads? maybe it needs to be a bit closer (or further away :lol: ).
Also have you got a battery feed to the SIP speedo? If not maybe you can rig up a temporary 12v feed then spin the wheel slowly and see if the blue light on the sensor goes off/on as the bolt heads pass the sensor. Very nice feature (the blue light) when setting up your sensor.
