I have tried to get my Casa 210 to run OK with a jetex carb, but doing plug chops at different throttle openings gives me different colours on the plug.At tick over and just above the plug is to rich with a very deep brown colour,if I open the throttle a bit more the engine 4 strokes, the plug colour seems to get lighter as you open the throttle and at WOT the plug is almost white,I'm running through a drilled airbox with a KBA clubman. The jets are-main 132,atomizer is a 5899-2 drilled to 2mm up the middle, pilot 45,I tried a 48 pilot but it 4 stroked really badly. The carb has a 200 slide.Should I chuck the jetex away and go for another type of carb,MB do a PHBL 25 carb kit that sounds ideal because I would like to run it through the airbox.Any info would be gratefully received.

I had the same on a 26mm reamed Jetex, changed the atomiser back to non drilled and it was fine. A 25mm phbl will be fine however, especially as you have a drilled airbox already.HxPaul wrote:I have tried to get my Casa 210 to run OK with a jetex carb, but doing plug chops at different throttle openings gives me different colours on the plug.At tick over and just above the plug is to rich with a very deep brown colour,if I open the throttle a bit more the engine 4 strokes, the plug colour seems to get lighter as you open the throttle and at WOT the plug is almost white,I'm running through a drilled airbox with a KBA clubman.

Try a 145 main jet if it's still lean make a 150 yourself and see if that is any good. Mine ran great the only issue I had was with hot starting.
Best of luck, a 25 mil is a good option just a tad more expensive than the Jetex
Hope you get it sorted.

Wouldn't have thought you would need to go anywhere near Main jets that big but I am willing to be proved wrong. One thought, however is, have you definitely got the 200 slide in your Jetex?cgt75b wrote:Try a 145 main jet if it's still lean make a 150 yourself and see if that is any good.
