Hi, i have read a few things about this, but would be grateful if anyone who has recently mot'd their scooter could tell me what is and what isn't allowed under current law. I plan to mount two 6" spots on my front rack, wired into my main beam switch, also if i had other spots do they need to work even if they are wired to a separate battery.

I've 2 spots on one of mine, separate battery and switch on leggy toolbox. Mot man ignores them.

If fitted they should either work or be covered.

Non testable items, wired, covered or flashing pink, we don't care.
You will get an advisory for flashing pink non testable lamps though
Shaun.

Yes, depending on the tester of course.Donnie wrote:So they are non testable but you would still get an advisory?
Bit like having a non testable fog lamp showing white light to the rear, its a pass, but will come with an advisory.

Does the advisory point out "lack of taste" ?lambro wrote:Non testable items, wired, covered or flashing pink, we don't care.
