Look at replacing your spot lamps with Cree LEDs. A Lambretta will not run its normal lights and 2 55W anything's for long even with a battery. Lets face it they are for show and a decent cree lamp will be more like 9w give a decent light output to show its on. it will work better from a DC supply so from the battery would be best and I would tend to keep AC separate from DC with either separate switches or a relay if you can find one that works well on AC

Well that's shattered an illusion, since the 60's I have been putting extra lights on to see where I going in the dark. :o :o

even the rear light draws quite a lot of voltage, i make my own led rear lights, one of these would allow more power to the battery, maybe your spotlamps can be converted to leds as well which will reduce the amount they flatten the battery, ive fitted an led sidelight to my gp its one like the cree mentioned earlier, and its nice and bright. another thing to consder is the output of your stator, you can buy a high output stator, i use a bgm i belive they are 120 watt, but you can get higher, i think electrex make one, someone on here will know.
