I am no expert, but was told, the thick bead that looks like a joint is the sand cast line but when taken out they some times set to quick and something happens to the last couple mm of alloy, some sort of shrinkage!! as I said no expert and could just Chinese whispers but it sort of sounded convincing anyway mine is exactly the same right down to the little jagged pointy bit at the bottom of pic which looks like it will fall off if prodded but I have done about 550 miles and it has quite high compression showing no signs of an air or week in that area, oh and yes both Indian cases I've seen maybe a Friday job? Lol
It is not a good though is it.
Sorry for long answer and may not be correct regarding flash mark.
