sip speedo fuel warning

I have a SIP speedo fitted for a while, but recently changed to a bigger fuel tank, and put a new SIP petrol tap in the new tank connected back up, but the "fuel" warning keeps flashing up even when I have a full tank, does the speedo need resetting?

Maybe the float has stuck or been damaged when you screwed the fuel tap in your new tank?
