Hi,
I have bought an EVO for my GP but not fitted it yet. While at Bridlington I saw a GP with one fitted and there was clear damage to the panel where the end can had been catching it. Has anybody else had a problem with lack of clearance? I don't want to risk damaging my paint.
Cheers

Dunno......
I've just got one for my S2 but not fitted it yet either.
They do have a fixing kit for the end can now though.
Maybe the one you saw didnt have the end can secured? - i hope so

Clearance to the panel is a bit tight, but with the two slip joints you do have a bit of wiggle room for better alignment.
I actually made a different engine casing bracket to angle the can away from the panel a bit.

My GP was at Bridlington with damage to the side panel from the evo pipe. But that was my fault the first time I fitted it without checking the clearance. I refitted it and although the pipe is close it no longer rubs. Was the GP you saw yellow ochre?

Ive got one on my Gp and have got about 1/2" of clearance between the pipe and sidepanel using the wiggle method lol

Have to say im more concerned with the ground clearance as its very easy to catch on speed bumps etc have to be very careful when going over anything sticking up in the road even with a S2 shock on

Yes, it was the yellow one I saw and not so worried now, but ground clearance doesn't sound too good. Probably no worse than an NK road, for example?

the ground clearance at the down pipe seems to be worse when using the standard stub on a barrel as this is quite a bit longer than the TS1 type stub that's supplied.
