Oil from exhaust joint?
You want a high temp silicone style sealant, not the same as exhaust paste used on cars. Cam Lam sell one or two. I buy the Granville one and seals up to about 400 degrees....its good to use on manifold in addition to gaskets and all exhaust joints. Remember on a two stroke its critical to seal the exhaust properly witha fexible sealant.
Before anyone says that exhaust gases reach 650 degrees, they are absolutley correct but the metal on the pipe etc never gets to these high temps, so the sealant works fine.

I used a copper RTA from the bay and it seems to be doing the job
