vespa clutch lurching
Vespa clutch is doing my head in now on my p2 , lurching tightened it up no diffrence , its a only done 150 miles this clutch ,do the plates go dry or something?

They shouldn't. They should be soaked in oil before being put in. You should also check that all the plates and steels move freely and evenly on their tabs with no rubbing or rough spots.

cheers - clutch was in oil for 2 weeks-- just wondered as the clutch isn't in oil like a lambretta that it would loose some of its oil -- Anyway look like a strip down
Just pulled clutch out and it a 4 plate clutch in my standard P200 in a standard basket – looks to me that it’s too tight in the basket (not enough room)
No idea why I but a 4 plate in it came as one kit including steels – I think it what was available at the scoot shop. Can I just remove one cork and one plate. – or replace the steel for thicker ones (standard and use 3 plates), I’m sure this would fix the problem

sounds like your cork plates have expanded, common problem when they have been sitting in oil for to long. check this youtube video, there are several more videos on youtube.

I had a four plate clutch fitted into a standard basket like yours. It was great at the beginning but like yours it started dragging. On stripping it I noticed that the steels had warped a bit, I'm guessing because they are just too thin to deal with the heat. I didn't reuse any of it. Why bother? Standard 3 plates are very cheap.
Yep going back to standard 3 plate clutch with orginal steels will let you know

Cosa style clutches are notorious for having bent steel plates and the slots in the basket being too short. I spent ages fiddling with mine and it either dragged or slipped. I tried an old style clutch with stronger springs but that was just too stiff. Eventually I bought one of the expensive SIP ones and that works a treat.
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.
