I know carb jetting questions get asked all the timev with great effect so I am just looking for the basic ball park jet values to start from. I have 66mm steel liner small block barrel ( from Mutley) also to run a scootrs pipe on it and i have just sourced a 26TM Mikuni carb, with Li150 box with 16/47 setup, hopefully for a pokey tourer setup.
This is my firsy time with a flat slide mikuni. I am unsure till i strip it down whats in it? if anyone got some good solid figures so i can get started an with, and then with movement for up and down once i get it on on the dyno it would be really appreciated.
Thank you for any feedback.....

Are you sure it's a 26? I've used a TM24 before and I know there's a 28 flat slide TM too but I have never heard of a 26 version.

I've got a TMX27, great carb, D slide. Never come across a 26 except VM26 roundslide.

Measured internal diameter at 26mm of manifold side, was told a 26mm, the main jet looks like a 175, having difficulty reading the atomizer number, looks like 252, hopefully theses numbers make sense. Thanks

Hi Yamlam got the old digital gauge out, 33mm for the outer diameter on the spigot side of the carb, with a 25.98mm inner diameter..does this make any more sense?

After further Googling, i found that an outer diameter on the spigot side of 33mm and a outer diameter of the inlet side of 44mm, it is a VM28 model in the TM flat series. Hence your confusion. Thank you for helping me clear this up.
Does anyone have some basic jetting sizes for it? As the sizes mentioned on other sites are confusing saying 300-340 when i have 282, is that a large jump in sizes

i dont think the Vm28 is a popular choice in the uk, so jetting advice might be a bit hard to come by.

Thanks Yamlam, I think I will have to Google and just get a wide range of jets and go slowly,
the joys of living on the other side of the planet.
