Bit of a Div question .. but im very new too scooters .. on my rear suspension i have a damper and besideit is the suspension spring but there should be something inside the spring top and bottom comming out of the shock plates too stop the sping falling out... can someone plz tell me what they are called so i can try order a set.. its a 1966 j125

I converted my last J rear suspension like this:

I made a spacer for the lower mount to take up the width difference between a Vespa smallie and the J, other than that a bolt on conversion.
Rear J dampers are quite pricey, and this Smallie shock was only a fiver
It looks close to the engine case, but when it was sat upon there was loads of clearance.
Much better than the fecked shock that was on there.
