Would a 30mm Dellorto PhBH be ok for a Ts1 225? I'm about to start building a new engine and trying to figure out what parts from my old I'll be able to utilise ;)

The current trend is for slightly smaller carbs and better economy with not much loss of performance. Should be fine with the right manifold.

I've got two tuned TS1 225s both with 30mm PHBH dellorto carbs. Both are still very quick

Agreed and don't always need the right manifold, can use a stepped rubber as I have done coming down from 35mm Mikuni to 30mm PHBH.

What carb settings are you guys using? i have just built a std TS1 top end with LTH manifold and 30PHBH (MJ 140, P 55, Slide 40, Av266, X13 2nd clip, 300 float valve) with a Fran Supertourer. So far seems to run ok, just need to get some miles on it before taking to the dyno for setting up. Andy

Mines very similar, just waiting to go on dyno here at Dan's. 225 TS1, mild tune, Franspeed Supertourer, 30mm PHBH.
135 main
55 pilot
40 slide
AV266
X7 2nd clip
300 float valve
70 choke

Hi Rich

When say Mild tune, what's been done?
Doesn't look like i am too far away, be interested to see what you end up with after Dan has dyno'd it.
