running a standard dellorto MB21 BS5 carburettor on a series 2 tv175. I have done a fuel flow check on the original fuel tap and it's showing with the fuel tap on-200ml per minute and with the reserve on-250ml per minute. The reason I'm asking is that I was cruising along at a constant 50-55 mph on a duel carriageway for about 6 miles and the scooter just cut out without warning. I pulled over and checked all the electrical connections,Cdi,battery,Earth etc and everything seemed fine. The Cdi,Stator and battery are brand new(50miles). I left it 10 minutes and after a bit of coaxing it started back up and was fine and got me home. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes thanks mate thanks. Flow of petrol with the tap on was to blame. I need to leave it on reserve as more petrol flows through the carb.
