Help...killing plugs
From 3ecent experiance id say it was the stator I recently spent 2 days on a scoot with a newish bgm stator swapped plugs cap ht lead cdi ignition switch re did all earths and added an extra one ,when the owner intially came to me and told me his scoot was cutting out every half hour or so I thought the lt coil was breaking down when getti g hot , he said itcouldnt be as the stator only had 1k on it , he didnt want the footboards off so I ploughed away at all the above (yes he was paying me ) we would try a new component clean the plug and hay presto all would work for a short while so tried the next thing inline and same again , luckely lambrettarehab had just done me a few dc stators and I wipped my very old indian stator off fitted it to the problem scoot and 2 months later its still working spot on the stator was rebuild by jarv and has yet to be refitted

I had 3x NGK plugs from the same batch fail on me last year, genuine ones bought from a very reputable source. Replaced with the same by the same reputable seller and all have been ok up to now.

right cap for the type of nipple on the plug, if the caps loose or your using a screw on nipple type cap without the nipple then your creating an arc from cap to plug, this in turn makes a higher HT voltage and while its great as it makes bigger spark, it will also kill the plug
its an old trick from my out in the woods or trail riding days, foul the plug and no time or more likely as a kid no tools to get plug out, simply remove cap and sit it off so that theres air gap inside the cap, pretty much always worked. but long term it would damage the plug
