ive never seen a manifold that exits on the right, all the old style manifolds exit on the left. unless your refering to the primer you can get those on the left or right?

Sorry I didn't make it clear !
On the Burlen (Amal ) web site they give left hand and right hand . Nothing to do with what side the carb comes out .

Depending on which engine mounts you have fitted the LH carb ( the adjusters on the left as you look down the bore I think) might be easier to adjust, but the old school flange manifolds for the Mk1 often stick out a fair way anyway.

Go for the left hand,,
with the left hand it will be easier to adjust the mixture and idle screws
