It's an easy mistake to fit the bottom steering bearing upside down. [So I'm told  ]

Any pointers here? .... http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic ... 32&t=23597

No but cheers, everything is fine on the front I think and I don't really see the cheap ebay s**t internals causing the speed wobble minus the speed  .Anyway the story so far before I address the handling issues again is the engines out again with the top end stripped because after replacing the head and base gasket I noticed a dome in the top of the piston that my lammy clued up friend told me it was not meant to be there. I have a serviceable 70mm piston to get squeezed into my sil barrel so will probably have plenty run in time to get things sorted out. You've got to love a Lammy. This labour of love/hate is learning me new things every day I touch it :)

Check your timing and double check (pressure test) for air leaks when re-assembling. Be a bugger if it happened again once you're back on the road.....

Aye will do. Dropped the barrel into the machine shop today to get the ball rolling.

Got a timing disc and checked the timing while I wait for my barrel to be done and its at 9 degrees BTDC so ten missing. New engine mounts in today as well.Onwards and upwards :)

Got the bored out barrel back today with an .004 clearance as learned from here and other places. Cleaned everything up oiled everything up on rebuild then took it a run. Locked the back wheel after about one f@@king mile but kicked over and run straight after and rode it hame. Its running rich to be on the safe side but not safe enough it seems. I am wondering if I have done something to upset the Indian Lambretta God. Maybe if I stop using the f@@k or f@@ked words the good things I do for the bike will be rewarded with good running and handling
