Anyone had any luck with the 16 rivetted versions of the cosa clutch basket?

I was thinking about getting one,

I have heard the horror stories of some 8 rivet cosa clutch just being ripped out on tuned scoots,

im only running the old malossi 210 kit, 18bhp on dyno,

currently have a T5 7 spring clutch with DR springs, fitted an easy clutch kit too and is still a bugger to pull

have to slip the clutch slightly to get it to move from stand still if i want to move off quickly or else the clutch just bites and then the engine bogs down,

You mean the one with bearings? This one? Image

Is it hard to fit?

Easy to fit. They look like this after a while:

They don't have any latteral movement.

I've had one of these in for a couple of thousand km since, and it's been fine:

Damn. I was hoping that would be the answer... I've lost a few clips that hold the pressure plate in and hoping I could avoid the clip altogether. Cheers for that!

So, I thought I put the SIP clutch into an early P200 (it was in a Rally 200) and it's exactly same piece of noisey clunking unless crap that it was in the Rally. What the hell is going on with the damn thing, where does that 'spacer' go that people have mentioned.

you have a small cog/washer spacer with groove to fit over the woodruff key then the clutch. I use the original cog washer even though I have disabled the oil pump.
