I was slightly coy in telling this forum that my first mode of non 50cc transport in 1981 was a Honda CB200N. :D :(

Anyway....yesterday I had the back door open as I was in the middle of knocking a wall down in the kitchen. I could hear this motorbike keep going up and down our small road so in the end curiosity got the better of me & I went to the front garden to take a look. This biker saw me & came up & parked up outside. I'm instinctively grabbing a spanner a la Jimmy Cooper to knock him on the swede with, when lo & behold it was a fella who I hadn't laid eyes on for over 30 years. He remembered i'd moved down here in 1985 as we were quiet close mates & was being nosey, wondering if I still lived in the same house. So, after big hello's '''Arry you f'kin waaaaanker!" & other friendly greetings that us fella's do, we're in the house having a good old natter & a brew. We're talking bikes & scooters for ages as his old fella used to run Eastleigh Hornets in the 70s, and was mates with Howard Chambers & Bill Drake who will be known to some on here I expect. Anyway....I pipe up ''remember that Honda 200 I sold you for £20'' ''Yeah' he replied. ''Actually it's still in me mums shed!"

I'm going round there this weekend with £20 & a log book detector. 8-)

I gave my mate a lift to the Vespa dealer the other day to pick up his scooter. They're also a Moto Guzzi dealership.

I barely escaped with my wallet intact.

I used to have one of those. Lovely bike. Much nicer than the Boneville. Is it a 650 or an 800?
