Slight update to this one...

The MB one is an excellent piece of kit, fits carb and manifold well, doesn't go floppy with engine temp increase and is a good option for most people that are looking to improve panel clearance and stop their carb popping off, avoid rubber mount splitting, etc. However, because of how the rest of my components 'jig up' I've found that a slightly longer rubber mount actually improves clearance, whereas it was touching with the shorter MB item.

A very generous member of this site saw this post and sent me his stepped rubber mount as he has now changed to a flange type alloy manifold. This slightly longer mount improves clearance from other components, fits well (both ends!), feels strong and has served me well during the last few weeks of use and frequent jetting changes/carb removal. I am told that this was sourced from Andy Francis as he picked up on the fact that people were struggling to source reduction rubber mounts that actually fit well (rib position).

Thanks to the kind member of this site (... cough, cough Martyn) that sent me a mount (plus that leaves me a spare MB one for the toolbox) and for all those who responded (on here or by PM).

Ta

Adam
