calling Imola and JL4 owners

need advice re. carb set-up and gearing. I've just changed from a scoot rs ss pipe so am after a good starting point. I've got a 28mm dellorto open mouth.
It feels boogy low down but lean top end wise. the gearing is final drive 5.6ish, could i come down to maybe 5.4?
any real world help appreciated. In fact any dyno owners done one recently?

Speak to Pete at CamLam, he has a pretty tidy Imola with a JL4 fitted. He should be able to point you in the right direction.
