Whats the best way of removing the main engine mount bushes on a Vespa large frame motor?.... I bought the SIP tool - but am f@@ked if I can work out what to do with that!
Is it just a case of attacking them with a drill & screwdriver.... or is there a better way?
Cheers - Graham.

As you are not going to use them again, turn it on its side and spray loads of wd40 leave for a while and then just drill or knock fck out of them. Some folk fit a long M10 thread with washer and nut and try and draw them out by tightening the bolt, with the other end of the thread gripped tightly on your vice.

last ones I did i used one of these drill bit saws and just minced it up so it was collapsing then used a couple of big screw drivers
the above makes it sound easy but it was a ball ache of a job
i have a p2 more that someone has cut down to fit a small frame - I'm working on the block to get it back to correct size - it had bushes in when i got it and thought here we again .... they popped out whole with not effort.
good luck

the px125 bushes are even WORSE to get out, as the tube is solid all the way not two parts. last one I did had an engine bolt rusted in
and took a whole day to get them out and replace. luckily, you can get new style px 125 engine mounts that just pop in with a bit of silicon grease. I used to throw px engine cases away with knackered engine mounts years ago, they were cheap to buy, and it was such a ball ache of a job I used to just refuse the work of replacing mounts, and rebuild on different casings instead.
