Numpty question here. There is a version of TSR called DJ? It appears to have the can built into or around the stinger. Any advantage to this or is it just aesthetic?

That pipe is an copy of an old school style DJ pipe by Dave Webster / MSC from the 1980s

Also very similar to some of the Mikeck designs.

I'd say there are probably better performing pipes out there nowadays and that one is one you'd fit for aesthetic reasons.

Onthelam, purely aesthetic, doesn't affect the cones, internal stinger etc. No advantage/ disadvantage (other than standard footboard clearance). I have cut some up that have truncated the rear cone , and that WILL affect the pipes performance but if clever could be built into how the pipe is designed to work, but would be specific to an engine rather as an off-the-shelf pipe as the ones I cut up were.

Was this a standard TS1 or tuned? If tuned what are the exhaust and transfer timings?

Graph shows as was Ts1 with Taff pipe, next higher reading is with pipe bolted on and highest figure is with ports set up closer to where i like them.
Its coming back Saturday for new inlet and v force 3 and a further tweak ;)

Hi Sash, do you have a better photo, perhaps clearer and bigger. The one I can see, I can't make out any figures on the scales, or distinguish between the torque curves. What port timings did you go up to on the tune? Nice shaped power curve but can't read rev scales. S

If you click on view full size on fb page it will show alot clearer, if i get chance I'll upload it.
This engine is still being developed and really needs a different rod\Stroke combination to get best out of it, at present its 58 x107
