Got an old 1996 Ralph Saxelby 225 Stage 5 conversion cylinder & head for a pal, its now been re-bored to 71mm.

Barrell height is approx 96mm, so im guessing its the TS250 piston conversion? The 70mm piston that was in it, has a skirt length of approx 65mm and a compression height of approx 34mm, and 18mm gudgeon pin hole (sleeved for a 16mm).

Questions:

1) What 71mm pistons are available to fit?

2) Any leads for a source?

Cheers

Dan

Over sizes were available upto 71mm.. I think they were done in 0.5mm per oversize, original pistons ART... Last oversize was I think 71mm... Mitaka also supply these pistons in oversizes... not sure if they were 0.25 mm oversizes but I think they also go upto 71mm maybe bigger... Would always try Grampians first they are a massive supplier of trade and retail...

The guy was fine when Corrado and I pestered him at the scooter racing. Even let it be known that he would be making a few RS Clubmans soon if we were interested. (Was a while ago so don't call him saying I said he was making them now).
