Just upgraded series two years to long mounts and now my fuel tap fowls the mount as in its too long to get back in. Am I missing something or do I just need a shorter fast flow tap. Thanks for any advice

Mine fouled the mounts so had to slacken tank straps and rotate the tank to clear it.

Yerst, it's a bit of a buggerthat. I've had it happen a couple of times. HXPaul gives one answer. The easiest answer is to buy a rear exit FF tap.

So will buying a scooter restorations fuel tap give me the same problem? I was hoping mine was a long one its a cam lam fast flow if that makes any difference thanks for the replies and will a rear exit one go straight in without issue. If I sound desperate I am going Morecambe at weekend thanks again for the advice.

It just depends,if its the exit spout thats fouling the mounts, that may work, but if its the body of the fuel tap thats fouling then it wont make any difference getting a rear exit tap.

Slacken off the tank straps and put some rubber strips between the tank and tank rubbers to lift the tank.
