Has anybody used one of these tools to mount and demount a tubeless tyre on a SIP type tubeless rim? Do they work well? Thinking about ordering one but the shipping will be as much as the tool so want to make sure it is worth it!

I use something equivalent to remove tyres from split rims which is a great tool but never used it for mounting tyres onto 1 piece rims.

on a similar note ive just made a holding tool from some box section and a lambretta half rim (left over from a rear hub holding tool!) so you can bolt the tubeless rim solid to the rim then clamp in it a vice - bought some cheap long tyre levers - gonna use some cut tube to protect the edge of rim, warm the tyre and use some tyre lube (I`ll see if I can blag some the car tyre place round the corner

Hopefully if ive got time - I`ll have a go at mounting this weekend.

got an old Dunlop k688 and a dexter to see how it fairs.

will post some pics and report back

hopefully I can me compressor sorted for blowing them up
