tick over problem ..t5

as in my other post got a bit of carb trouble sorted the fuel problem now with the tick over it goes from nothing to locking off the throttle slide can anyone help cheers

sounds like your carb is twisted and slide get stuck in....

I took it on the other site to mean that the throttle slide jams when you adjust the tickover.
I would say that the choke may be stuck on slightly, or the plunger is gummed up with shite, or pilot let blocked.

If the slide sticks when throttle opened fully, as Fastfrog says, twisted carb body, slightly loosen the front hold down bolt to see if it fixes this.

checked and cleaned choke and made sure carb isn't twisted and still the same..... the throttle don't just stick when tick over screwed all the way it doesn't move.... that's why I put it gets locked down :x any more help I aint got a clue now never add this problem

sounds to me like your slide is badly worn out,especially where the tick over screw touches the slide ..its having to go down so much further and still not having the effect until it just locks it up as it presses against it ...the angle part is worn out i guess !
check out the end of the tickover screw also ..

Have you got the air filter fitted? If not have you put the tick over screw in the centre thread?

joking apart sit filter on top dont tighten down then try, i had a longer bolt once never realised it was locking the slide
