For those that run or have ran an Imola. What has their best gearing combination been. I'm running an Italian li150 box with 47x16 and a devtour pipe. Goes nice but you know what us lammy riders are like. Always trying to improve it even if its just a tad.

Evesy I'm running the same gearing as you with a Fran race, but planning to change mine for to 47x15= 5.3, will accelerate quicker it will be rb more for fun than touring. You should be able pull longer gearing with that pipe, you could try 47x17=4.7 will give it a better top speed for less revs.

Cheers Andy. I did try 17 x 46 with a final drive of 4.6. It absolutely flew in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. When it went into 4th if I hit any incline or a headwind etc it died. Does having a final drive of 4.7 as opposed to 4.6 make that much difference. The margins seem really small.

Not sure if it will pull it as it is close to what you have already tried. You never know though. Could be to with engine setup did you try it on a dyno with different final drive? Sorry can't be more helpful.
