SIL flywheels are no different to any other flywheel or other part for that matter ...... you will always get a degree of failure
ive seen original, af lightened, SIL, variatronic failures and I`m sure the next big thing will have failures
We`ve see it cranks (from stock to "super"), cyclone g/box, stators, pistons etc
Bare in mind that this flywheel has been in use and hasn't failed straight out of the box - be interesting see how many miles its done, what motor its on, what type of miles etc - what it does highlight is that lightening and welding should be undertaken on these flywheels.
there s nothing you can fit and forget on a lambretta !
and there was I wondering what the noise was.......

Known problem in the 60's. Had them out of Series 2 and TV3 engines.
Gonna now touch a very large piece of wood so my SIL one holds up after all these years.
