Hi, daft question time as I have just purchased a new crank, from some one local. It is brand new in box, never used.
My question is, what's the difference between Mec Eur & Mazzucchelli cranks, or are they the same thing?
I have seen the recent comments that Mec ones have had recent issues.

I purchased the Mazzucchelli GP 58/107 one...

Are they any good? As the prices shown on the internet can vary from £379 -£190.

Even more for the confusion,
PmTuning say "The best crank to buy for your lambretta GP 200cc when working to a budget or using mildly tuned cylinders" Yet SIP say "The perfect crankshaft for TS 1 engines, a solid cone and high quality bearings provide maximum durability of the engine."
Seems a big jump from mildly tuned budget machines to TS1 engines, I am ok fro the moment as i am looking at SR175 barrel but could this be used with mugello or imola or even RB?

Also says .......
This Mazzucchelli Crankshaft for Lambretta GP200 comes with high load silver cage big end bearing, full circle webs to boost primary crankcase compression

............. but it hasn't got full circle webs. WTF........

Generally thought of as a none race GP200 crank. Equally confusing is for years MEC have been promoting 2 different GP cranks as "race" with lots of thought that one of them isn't. I doubt if you'd find one of those cranks in any Race engine. You probably won't find many 107 conrods in Race engines either.
Marketing men won't rebuild your engine when their so called race crank breaks.

So other than some poetic licence, they are not race standard but either model is capable is being used in mid tune or even use on the higher grade tunes like TS1 etc?
