Man phones up and wants to bring scoot in. Not running quite right. Sure, bring it in, says me.

Up turns a lovely red Vespa. With chrome and a black piece of trim round the tank. OH SHIP, a Nammer

Not only that, the man wants a Malossi 166 and a long stroke crank. Rip it apart expecting the worse and it was. Sand cast engine case no less. Right, new case please. Finally got it together and it doesn't look quite right sitting in the frame,

We shall see... wish it luck.

Slippery basturd not saying it was a nammer, should have just turned it away...

Had to vent, ma' feet are cold, working all weekend on a piece of crap. Back down the shed now...

Not that fair.

Having said that he's bought the polished turd so be straight with him that it's a never ending moneypit that may never be any good. And any and all work has no warrenty unless starting with a clean sheet and will be charged at full price. He doesn't like it? Tough s**t, tell him to take it elsewhere.

a vespa /lambretta restored in the far east ...i.e. Vietnam...hence "Nammer". usually a bag of shite with a bonny paint job and lashings of bathroom accessories attached to bling it up. comes with optional barge pole.
