My son has his smallframe insured through Carol Nash (since August ) but has just had a letter from the DVLA/MID stating that he's insurance records do not appear on the database?
Has anybody else heard of this before?...
cheers

It happens a lot to us as we use our trade policy to register the scoots .
If I were you I would contact your insurer and check they have uploaded the info on to MID. you can check yourself on line,

Had the same conversation with a mate last night who is also insured with CN and received the same letter. The letter only related to one registration although he has multiple scooters on the same policy. When we checked on MID none where showing as insured...
I think he's calling CN after work today!! !

be very aware of brokers cocking up insurance details...........
If they've put the wrong reg on the policy/ database, then you will have an almighty job getting the Police to accept the error as all they can see is that the vehicle is "uninsured".

you will always get either policy details via email or in the post and you should always check the details are correct.
it also helps to carry a copy of your insurance certificate with you just in case you come across problems.
