I have just got back from Readspeed with my scoot, been to have it dynoe'd. Got the scoot out of my mate van about 8 miles from my home and rode home. For about 7 miles of the journey the scoot was running perfect, happily passing cars on the dual carriageway and running as it should, sitting nicely at 70 and I had a nice smile on my face. Then all of a sudden it started to run crap, getting all boggy and losing power. At one point I had to pull over and stop. At this point I noticed that my front light kept flickering quite a lot. Went for a bit of a spin round the back rounds and it goes really well for a while and then all of a sudden starts playing up - like it's bogging and generally running rubbish. I'm sure it can't be the jetting as I say I have just had it dynoe'd and it was running fantastic. As I say the only thing I can see that is obvious is the flickering lights. Any thoughts???

Unless it's all DC power the running like crap will make the lights flicker (being AC and powered off the running motor).
I'm betting it's something simple like an ignition ground coming loose or plug cap not staying connected.

I hope so, as it's cost me a fortune and I 'thought' it was sorted due to the 'perfect' running for the majority of my journey home, will pop down and see if the plug cap is on properly. I 'think' I have found the problem! (HOPEFULLY!) I took the switch apart that does the high/low beam and horn and the wires inside were all loose and brittle. Have removed the switch and scoot is running perfect again. Have ordered a new switch and loom so here's fingers crossed!!!
Thanks for all the help as always

Just got my new light switch from Beedspeed and fitted it - lights have never been brighter and the horn sounds amazing - it sounded like it was a dying duck but now it sounds like a duck with a bit of life in it! Can't believe the difference tbh. Looking forward to taking it for a spin and seeing how the engine runs now with the improved electrics
