Plenty of people will say it's all wrong but I'd be quite happy with those numbers and the pipe choice... will work well without losing too much grunt...yet rev reasonably well :)

Bazza
The spec of your engine is nearly the same as mine as in timings and parts except i have a RB20 crank with packing plate. Made 21BHP on Dan's dyno with a JL4, I have now fitted a Fran Race and it revs higher and pulls even better. what jetting are you running? I have fitted a AF light flywheel and 6 plate road clutch as i was fed up with them starting to slip in the high revs, this AF one seems to have cured that and it hasn't slipped yet and last ride I was changing gear at 8500 in 1, 2 3rd gears and saw 8900 at one point (using Vapour dash).

Hi andy w. I am still playing with the jetting but currently it has 135 main av 266 x13 on 2nd clip from top 56 pilot 65 choke and 300 float valve. THIS JETTING HAS NOT BEEN TESTED OR CHECKED. I will be upping to either a AV268 or 270 i think but taking it to PSL in kirby either this sat or next to let them set it on there dyno. I also fitted thd AF cassette clutch whist it was in bits but havent obviously had chance to try it properly as yet. I rechecked it for air leaks again today and all seems good there so thats one less thing to worry about. Cheers.baz

Bazza, your jetting is nearly identical to how mine is set up just I have a 132 MJ and 55 pilot. 135 run a bit too rich for mine. Andy

Cheers andy w . Ive ordered a av 268 & 270 plus an X4 & X7 needle . I was running a 55 pilot and 132 main but holed the piston . I was doing about 60 - 65 at half to three quarter throttle when it went pop so ive leak tested it and it was leaking slightly from 2 of the nut/studs threads on head so ive cured that . Il defo take it to psl to be checked for peace of mind . Thanks again. Baz.
