Hi all well my son fitted his Pinasco 177 kit on to his 14 plate px , started off with a Polini exhaust went well pulled well 60 plus mph pulled well up hills, he lives on a equestrian centre and found it too loud for the surroundings he lives in so he fitted his sito plus exhaust and now wont go above 50 ish flat out !! loads of torque and pulls well in 4th gear from really low down revs but just wont do much more than 50ish !! He's put a 114 main jet in drilled air filter everything else is standard its better than the 125 set up with torque pulling up hills better but not top end ! we know it does go faster as when the Polini exhaust was fitted but not now , he was told the sito plus are supposed to be better exhausts !! any advice welcome and he knows the cdi is restricted cheers Danny

I'm not a fan of Sito exhausts, the quality is quite poor and any I've had have blown the baffles in no time but it shouldn't be killing the speed to that extent. I'd look at the SIP road or BGM's if you want a box pipe.

Check yr clutch gearing. Iirc the new Px's come with a 20 tooth clutch and that set up should easily pull a 22. That should help.

i would try dropping the main it's probably bogging out on the top end with 114, drop it down, go for short spin to try it out, just remember to plug chop after.
sip road 2 is a quiet performance pipe

reading with interest............
oggy - as you know i've got a sitoplus on mine, with the engine as standard. The top speed has dropped off mine since i swapped the filter to a drilled one. main jet on mine is now 100. It definately runs better uphills and in 2nd/3rd is quicker but drops out at higher speeds.

Hi Mick , TBH his scoot seems to be getting better the more he rides it ! now doing a nice 62 gps and still loads of torque but we think the sito plus is restricting it some what and the Pinasco was a better exhaust but too loud for the environment he lives in , next steps are changing the exhaust he's on about a twisted rods one and the Zeus cdi unit . I rode it on Sunday and it does it the rev limiter but gets their a lot quicker than before ! Il keep you informed Mick safe riding Danny
