Many thanks trojan, but it's not finished yet.

primered legshield first blank test. Hard work to resuscitate this thing that was all bent, bumped and rusted to the bone.

original loom checked, tested and refitted. Only 2 or 3 small sections need replacement.

first real kickstart. I'm aiming at a ring of smoke coming out of the breather. How surprising! I thought it was the chain guide first running in.

could have been steam from some moisture in there as it hadn't run until then?

sounds sweet, sounds tight but then it would as its all new :) be interesting to see how well it goes!

it smelled sort of plastic burn and there was a lot of smoke inside the chain case. Probably too much for a moisture reaction. We started several times the engine and smoke only appeared the first time.

Just winded out the breather. Lots of smoke went out. After a few minutes we restarted the engine and smoke has dissipated. Oil was doing its job covering and spiting through the naked hole (hum hum)...

You're right dapper, Chain is maybe a bit too tight. As a beginner in the lambretta's world I must confess I could have done plenty of unorthodox approximations.... Those 6mm chain play . Is it 3+3 mm each side or 6+6??
Bilko mind the ring of smoke coming out of Beardman rear breather....

Anyway many thanks to all of you for following me in this endless odyssey.
