Well ive finally got another lambretta altho its with mixed feelings ....the reason is that this was a friends scooter who sadly passed away on 17th December 2013 aged 53 from an advanced in operable brain tumor ,
Petes struggle was long and hard he fought for 2.5yrs having 3 all clears in that time
Mr Peter pierce was amongst other things a soulboy but not a scooter soul boy from the onset he was a mid 70, s trial bike , capri or escort driving variant who had no interest in scooters what so ever which was pretty normal for people around this area, he attended many allnighters up north from the age of 14 onwards , Pete was also a very accomplished cricket player and had county trials for Gloucestershire in his late teens it was then that the shadow as he called it layed its hand on him he recovered from this but he never regained his full fitness so decided to pursue trial riding and became very accumplished and rode for over 30 years , his other great passion was Gloucester Rugby which he followed with great relish .
Pete got into scooters about 8 yrs ago becouse he just loved the style and attended the IOW several times and also toured france on his GTS I got to know him through a mutual friend when he got his first scooter which for some reason wouldnt work :D
we had some great times riding (pete, nibbles, andy and myself) theres lots more to say but heres a pic of the scoot I was lucky enough to buy I paid a reasonable price infact a bargain price as its a proper indian gp 200 frame I could have got it for alot less or maybe even nothing but that didnt sit happy with me .

As we get older more people of our generation bring bad news of such illnesses. Personally I would not know how I would feel if I took on a friends scooter who had passed on. Nevertheless you sound proud to do so and I hope you have great memories on it. It looks great.
