Did all the required modifications, checking the height was one thing I skipped when installing it.
Its a sh1/20 so shouldnt be an issue but thanks for the suggestion
At least assuming you can't really adjust float height on the SH1-20?

I've checked the flip choke and it seems to fully open and close. Don't think that there's anyway of adjusting that either. Also check all my carb parts and the only thing that appears different to say a 125 Gp or special is the slide. Mine is 5014-1 as opposed to 5914-1. Not sure how big a difference this is but might be worth a try swoping

Well the air filter fell off the other day and this made it drive a lot better. Not perfect but ok. I was using a generic type rather than the original. I would rather run with a filter than without - as I believe that running without shortens the barrel/piston life expectancy?

I could try an original type filter but even the remade ones are expensive and the is no guarantee they will work better. Bit of a daft question but is there any other option I can take to protect the engine without interrupting air flow?

If the air filter was the issue am I right in thinking I was actually suffering from a lack of air and maybe I just needed to open the carb air screw mix more than the recommended half turn? Would this rule out the idea of it being a lack of fuel from the petrol tap?
