vespa t5 gearing

Hi,just recently built my mates standard T5 with a 22t clutch sprocket,sip road exhaust and he says it flies up to 70mph on speedo(he is only about twelve stone tho).I reckon you wanna get a decent pipe on yours first to let the kit rev and produce the power its capable of,not sure whats about now to fit the t5 exhaust stub but av a look on the sip website to see whats available.See how it goes then and drop to a 22t cog if required I think the extra power from your set up should pull that gearing ok.

I didn't think a 23 would mesh anyway ive got the stock carb which is all matched with a cut and polished crank but with a 21 tooth and that revs out so I need to go to 22

ducksta, at what rpm was the 17.8 bhp? You can work the gearing back from there
