The bracket behind the horn cover has come away and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to fix it back on without welding. I thought of making some sort of stainless cover piece that could wrap round the legshield middle and then bolt or screw into the bracket behind the horn cover. As a last resort I will get it welded but really don't want to have to repaint the legsheilds. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Graeme

Sorry just reread that and realised you meant the one that fixes the legshield to the frame not the horn bracket.

You might be able to solder or braze it back into place temporarily but I doubt it would last.

Has the whole c shaped bit come off or is it broken?

Drill though and bolt it together. 4x m4 bolts will hold it and not look to bad, weld it next time you paint it.

Had the same thing happen to me when I was fitting my legshields back on after being painted.. brand new leggies and the bracket snapped off, not even been on the road yet, decided the best course of action was to drill straight through and fit a domed shaped bolt with a J shaped bracket so it looks like a helmet holder....does nt look Too bad even though I did nt really want one in the first place....... 8-)
