Oooh. Didn't see that, thank you.

Would this help for the heat issues of the RB's?

some nice jobs there. seems that the most efficent way is to mount the rad straight out in front. I guess tha makes sense. I was thinking of maybe putting the rad and fan behind the leggies and hiding it in a toolbox with a cut out where the door would be for the fan exhaust and then drilling a series of subtle intake holes under the front mud gurard then running the pipe along the main tube.

would this work, and if so i imagine ther would be eneogh room in the fake front toolbox to take the pump as well?

what do you reckon?

I'm using a volkswagen auxillary water pump on my LC project, they are used on the VR6 and some of the T5 transporters. They are within a tenner of the BGM ones but I figure that I could pick one up from just about any town with a VW dealership should I need one in a hurry on thre way to a rally etc.

I'm only running an LC head initially (on an RB250) but am planning going to full LC in time. I spoke to quite a few people with experience of LC regarding what I had planned and came away with the the overall picture that if running full LC then a thermostat is essential to avoid rapid bore wear due to cold running but if just running a head then go for constant flow as thermostats can fail quite regularly due to vibrations.

I'm powering the pump from a gel battery which is being charged from the ignition. Until it's running though I don't know how long that'll last before the battery is drained. Rads are two motocross rads behind grills in the legshields. Still waiting for the head to be machined at the moment.
