Spoke to andy today whilst I was in bosham , he is sending me out another seems to think stress has caused it to snap I can't understand this as it fitted perfect with no issues . Yes lammy will be going straight back up for sale once new exhaust is fitted.

It was fitted via the instructions supplied . Nothing was tightened up or springs added until all lined up

You lost a sale, which was only 25 miles away due to a snapped exhaust.
I thinks the buyer didn't really want to part with £4000 odd, or he is just very unreasonable,
I would have cut a seller some slack and waited for it to be fixed.

Yes lost the sale for now . Never mind if he really wants it he will contact me when the new pipe is fitted . Seems we are more worried regards fitment of exhaust . Yes it was me . and I'm more the confident of doing this . Once I sell it I'm spending the dosh on a vw t4 van

To snap in 2 places it would seem it was stressed in 2 areas like it was bent in a curve with the main mounting bracket being at the center , tye fact it was left loose and tighned a little at a time doesnt mean its not stressed it just means the stress has been evened out . I repaired a pipe for some one whos end can had snapped off the stub end was showing signs os rubbing were the main pipe was being pulled over at an angle when the pipe was welded and refitted I did so without the cotton reel supports on the sharks tooth bracket and held the pipe up untill it was level and square the metal tubes inside the cotton reel rubbers were about 7-8 mm to long , I got some shorter cotton reels and it fitted alot better , now I cant say for certain that the rewelded went back on in exactly the same position but it was close enough it was a jl type exhaist bracket at the rear . Snapped manifolds arw quit common on GTS scooters as well becouse people pull the end can in on the manifold causing the front pipe or manifold to crack at the lambda sensore

Thanks for comments . When I fitted the pipe the stub was done first then next small bend of pipe then main exhaust . The shark fine bracket was fitted to engine case only lose. Next step I did end can support bracket etc then tightened from front working to back and fitted springs last . I've had a few other people contact me today who have had issues with support end can bracket snapping one chap it's happened two times . So just isn't me hopefully the new one I receive will be ok but as said I'm selling it once done to fund our vw t4 van

Yes we all need a holiday but I've also now got a major issue with my 3 month old franspeed super tourer that's cost my sale of scoot yesterday it snapped in two places . One complete through on end can support bracket , two on slip joint weld I was delivering it to buyer only 25 miles from me when this happened and last nite had to be recovered

And just have to remove your rear boards and bend your stand to make it fit the bike!!
