finally caught up a bit in the workshop this week [and will get to those parts for anyone patient enough to still be waiting], so thought I would get this 1971 GP together for myself.
It's an ex Group 4 race bike from the 80s.
Will refit the original bodywork, complete with old race stickers, dents and scars; take the shaken-down engine out of my Serveta, along with some other bits I have about.
Plan is to get this built & mot'd to ride to Shipston in 3 weeks

cheers Robert, ready for mot now...Bilko wrote:Looking forward to seeing it finished Jarv.
wanted to fit a grille, but had to make some spacers as bolts oversize, looks the part imo
as does the Amal on an 80s bike ~
rearset brake works well, with a decent cable run ~
DC conversion of course, using one of Lloydiee's boxes, mounted higher up to allow use of the panel pins
and simple wiring, and QA throttle keeps the headset internals tidy
so mot in the next few days, then, as long as get the logbook back from DVLA and have chance to shake it down, should be good for Shipston, otherwise the Serveta is my backup plan...
Looking good! db67
