Yup, extactly the same problem with my RT200. Couldn't figure why it was boggy low down then spotted the float had petrol in it... No visible holes though

Exactly the same on a mate's TS1. I put a couple of pin holes in it and emptied out the fuel, then used Araldite to seal, whilst a new one was on order. When stripped to fit the new one, the fix was still holding fine a week or so later.

Had my float fill with petrol a while ago too, seems a common prob with newer ones according to a mate. Got an old one put in and no bother.

The GT made it to John O'Groats over the weekend. I hated running it in though, the A30 through Cornwall and Devon is the worst road in the world to run a barrel in that has no miles on it though :( big duel carriageway with some very long up hill climbs.

Ill post some video when ive sorted through it all of me having to do 45 fking mph for hours on end lol.

Thanks to the lads for stopping with me and I'm sorry to them for f@@king off during the last 50 miles

They are a kart reed valve from the 90's but they are still used in engines such as the IAME Leopard. Carbon petals are available but they make no difference to performance. You can buy different thickness glass petals (stock is the standard thickness). Adjusting petal characteristics is usually done by adding a second layer of petals of different length so the bending characteristic is changed.

Pound for pound, adjusting petals is very marginal. You get much better returns form adjusting exhaust profile and pipe.

I've just got back from the Lambretta Euro in Davos on the GT230.
We rode to Davos then rode to the Stelvio pass on our way to Milan where we went to the factory, casa and then on to Monza. After that we rode back up to Holland to get the ferry over to hull in time for Cleethorpes.
The GT didn't miss a beat, in fact all I had to do while over there was adjust the clutch cable once on the way there. It also averaged 48 mpg over the 2300+ miles and 10 countries.

Pics and videos to come.

I was also running the Kheper programmable ignition too while over there... Ill make a new thread about that, all ill say here is that it works :)
