TV 200 barrel

Just building a TV 200 engine.when checking the port height's on the barrel the inlet,exhaust & transfer dimensions match the first version exactly but the exhaust width is only 42 mm not the 46 mm as per first version.
The port dimensions are not per 2nd version. Can anybody throw any light on this.I

Did they reduce the width of the exhaust port as they had a tendancy to break rings? Or am I dreaming again

they did go from wide and shallow (= ring breaker), to narrower and deeper
