I've recently set my carb up (30 mm PHBH with TS1 225) without the side panels on whilst they were off being resprayed. I was using a breath sweet, but have now removed it. I appreciate that the jetting will need increasing. My panels have built in side scoops for carb space and increased air flow. Will the scoops put even more air down the intake, and hence require even more upjetting than just running without panels and breath sweet filter?

I doubt it will make any difference provided the panel isn't too close to the carb mouth, there will be plenty of air available with or without panels.

Thanks for the reply, I've had a few trial runs this morning and plug chopped it, and it looks like I've had to tweak my air screw and drop the clip 1 notch. I've gone up on main as well as a precaution.
