Scary, but you guys are not far off the truth. As the amount of computers on vehicles increases, so is the need for data storage. This will come in the form of a ' Cloud ' similar to what we have now. When you switch something on, that unit will download the data required from the Cloud. This gives hackers the potential to interfere with these systems. Some of these systems control things like anti lock brakes, as well as basic stuff like car radios. There is a lot of research going on in this area. I've got an article on it somewhere. As for the H.T question, my next door neighbour has switched on his telly, and it fired up my Lambretta !

have they solved that problem with QDU units yet?

Very occaisionally the "bluetooth" element in the system would lock on to other spark discharge systems ("SDS") resulting in misfires.

Has this been cured?
Not quite. Owing to the nature of Quantum Entanglement the spark was actually arriving at the plug before it was generated.

if you used "unbalanced" QDU's you are going to get this problem (before you've thought of it even) after all, Einstein did speculate that space was in fact curved and not linear. Dilythium Crysals may delay the spark sufficently, but it does depend where you've set your firing point- either in the past or the future.....

Funnily enough, when I'm not tinkering with Lambrettas in the shed, I build time machines. My mate's coming round tomorrow to borrow one - and he brought it back yesterday.

You should be careful what you get up to in that shed of yours. You do realise you've created a temporal paradox that could unravel the fabric of the universe? :o
