T5 ignition barrel!!
help! Can anyone tell me how the steering can lock
on when the key is at the on position! The key will
not now turn to the off position, I've tried removing
the barrel no joy!!

Take off the horn stem and undo the grub screw to remove the ignition switch then you should be able to turn the locking cam inside the tube with long nose pliers. The key barrel will need to be out to do this, which is removed by poking a small pin etc in the small hole at the bottom of the welded on tube and prizing the key barrel out along with the anti rattle strip.
Thanks for the reply, I know how to remove the barrel but this one won't shift.
if the pins in the barrel have dropped or fell out would this make it hard to

Sometimes the lock can be a pain to remove, it may need a bit of levering out with a screwdriver behind the on / off flange and some lube taking care not to break it. It's all matter of feel to press the plunger up thru the small hole.
