Need some advice for wiring a Wassel/Podtronics regulator into a simplified AC loom? Red coming from Wassel/Podtronics splits with one (red) going to positive on battery and the other (brown in picture below) goes where? Via brake switch to power the lights and horn?

Into the loom up to the junction box in the headlight. It's the main feed for the electrics.

At some place or other you also need to connect that brown feed to any of the holders purple wires or half your stuff wont work.

I use the Indian dc junction box. All the connections are cross connected except the greens

I think the problem with the simplified loom is they leave out the extra purple feed so you don't have the extra wires to connect at the back end. that leaves the front end with some missing feeds. you can hard wire a link soldered between the purple and brown contacts so you don't loose any terminal spaces. I also don't like the feed going via the brake switch as its open to the elements and any problem down below you loose the lot. just my opinion.

I think mine is an old MB loom, certainly not original, nor one of the newer ones.

This is my schematic

I've added some bits and need to update that a little since but in principle it's right.
