Had the same thing in my ts1 Dl200 engine. Click click but not any rubbing like you say. It was the gearbox shim that was moving around. Do you get the same sound with the crank case cover facing up?

Sorry engine case cover.
Gear box Shim to thin rattling/moving around. I moved up .2mm and it disappeared.

or a gear fits upside down...

do you have oil in the gearbox yet? could just been the chain catching the sprocket.

did it, no change. noise is as if a leaf was touching bicycle spokes.... French mates told me it sounded like a gear set the wrong way...

ive never known a lambretta not to make a click...I personally wouldn't worry about it

read it also on several posts....
It takes max 1h to split cases and disassemble gearbox. I can't sleep like a baby without checking if anything wrong inside.
I keep you posted.
By the way I'm interested in a new clutch but aint got much experience in clutch business: Is this one a good one?
