help needed urgently

hi ive stripped my imola top end the head is stuck to the barrel. Its the one that sits in the bore about a mil. I used a smear of silicone when I built it and now the fecker is stuck fast. got the barrel off with head attached so any advice on how to split it would be greatly appreciated before I wing the dam thing into next week .

you could heat it up a bit ..that may help,direct the heat at only the barrel using a heat gun or your hair drier and gently prise apart .

im taking it work with me tonight so il see if they have a heat gun in workshop,i only have a butane blow torch at home .

I'd just insert a blade of a large screwdriver and VERY carefully twist. Don't use it as a lever or you'll run the risk of snapping a fin. Try in a few places applying pressure as close to the joint as possible and use heat if necessary but only on the barrel or it'll stick more.

Cheers coaster ive brought it in work so il take it over to workshop when i finish and use there heat gun an try what you say.
